Terms of Service

The short version: use the site, enjoy the show, order some merch. Don't rip off our episodes or our artwork, and understand what a preorder means before you pay.

Last updated 4 August 2026. Using this site means you accept these terms.

1 Who you're dealing with

Built Different, Pare is an independent podcast and small merch label operated by two individuals from Metro Manila, Philippines. Reach us at builtdifferentpare@gmail.com — that's the only official channel.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Anything we can't settle between us goes to the courts of Parañaque City, Metro Manila.

2 Using the site

You're welcome here. What we ask:

  • Don't try to break, overload, scrape or gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or the systems behind it.
  • Don't submit anyone else's personal information through our forms, or impersonate someone.
  • Don't use our forms to send spam, threats, or anything unlawful.

We may block access if any of that happens. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian's permission, to place an order.

3 The podcast and the artwork

The episodes, the artwork, the photography, the logo, the slogans on the merch and the writing on this site belong to us or to the people we made them with.

You may share links to any episode, quote a bit of one with credit, and clip a short excerpt for a reaction or commentary video — that's what the show is for.

Please don't re-upload whole episodes to your own channel, use our artwork or slogans on things you sell, or use anything of ours to make it look like we endorse something. Ask us first — the answer is usually yes.

Guests keep the rights to their own likeness and their own stories. If you were a guest and want something taken down, email us and we will.

4 Orders and preorders

Merch is sold as a preorder: you pay during the ordering window, and we produce the run after it closes. That's what makes the preorder price possible, and it's also why the item doesn't ship immediately. The current window, release date and prices are on the store page and are the ones that apply.

  • An order exists once payment is verified. We check each payment by hand, usually within 24 hours, then email your confirmation. Until then it's a submitted order, not a contract.
  • Prices are in Philippine pesos and include the shipping fee shown at checkout. If your bank adds its own transfer fee, that's between you and your bank.
  • We may decline or refund an order if a price or size was listed in error, if we can't verify the payment, or if the item can't be produced. You get the full amount back.
  • Sizes and colours are as accurate as we can make them. Screens differ, and garment measurements carry the usual manufacturing tolerance.

Cancellations, refunds, delays, defects and exchanges are all covered in full by our Return & Exchange Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you can cancel any time before it ships, for a full refund, no reason needed.

5 Paying

Payment is by QRPH through your own GCash, Maya or bank app. We never see or handle your card, bank or e-wallet credentials — the whole transaction happens inside your app. What you send us afterwards is the reference number and a screenshot of your receipt, which is how we match your payment to your order.

The account name your app displays will be a personal one. That's expected and it's stated on the payment step before you send anything, along with whose it is.

Please put your order number in the payment's message or notes field. Without it, matching your payment takes longer.

6 Emails and text messages

Order-related messages — confirmation, payment verified, shipping — are sent because you bought something. They aren't marketing and you can't opt out of them while an order is open.

Marketing emails and texts only go to people who ticked the box. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or use the unsubscribe link in any email. Message and data rates may apply, and frequency varies. Reply HELP for assistance.

7 What we don't promise

We build and run this ourselves, so: the site is provided as-is, we can't promise it will never be down, and we can't promise every link to a third party (YouTube, Spotify, a map) will always work.

Nothing said on the podcast is professional advice. We talk about business, work, money and life as two people figuring it out — treat it as a conversation, not as financial, legal, medical or career advice. Guests speak for themselves.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to an order is capped at what you paid for it. Nothing here limits your rights under Philippine consumer law, which you keep regardless of what this page says.

8 Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. Terms that applied when you placed an order are the ones that govern that order — a later edit doesn't reach backwards.
