About us

Built Different, Pare is a Filipino podcast that started the way most good things do — two high-school friends from Metro Manila who never stopped talking, finally hitting record.

We don't have it all figured out. That's exactly the point. We're building our careers, our ideas, and this podcast in public — documenting the wins, the losses, and everything in between, while it's actually happening.

Every episode is real-life instances, real conversations, and real perspectives from two people still in the middle of the climb — in the Taglish we actually speak. No scripts. No filters. No BS. Just real talk, pare.

"Figuring life out is better done out loud."

Beng

The business mind

EntrepreneurBusinessPeople

The entrepreneur of the two. Beng sees opportunity everywhere and lives by one rule: "Your network is your net worth." Every person you meet is a door waiting to open, and he's out here collecting keys.

Yen

The creative & tech side

TechAI CreationDesignGamer

The techy half of the duo. Yen lives on the creative side of the internet, building websites, designing whatever's in his head, automating workflows, and logging serious hours in-game. If it's new tech, he's probably already broken it and rebuilt it twice.

FAQ

The questions

What is Built Different, Pare?

Built Different, Pare is a Filipino podcast hosted by two high-school friends, Beng and Yen, from Metro Manila. Every episode is an unscripted conversation about business, technology, family and figuring life out while it's still happening — building in public, wins and losses included.

Who are the hosts?

Beng and Yen. Beng is the business mind — an entrepreneur who lives by the rule that connection is wealth. Yen is the creative and tech half, building with AI, designing, and logging serious hours in-game. They've been friends since high school.

Is the podcast in Tagalog or English?

Both — it's a Taglish podcast. Beng and Yen talk the way Filipinos actually talk, mixing Tagalog and English naturally, so it's easy to follow whether you're here in the Philippines or watching from abroad.

Where can I listen or watch?

Full episodes are on YouTube and Spotify. Clips go up on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok — all at @builtdifferentpare.

How long is an episode?

Most full episodes run between 45 minutes and just under two hours. These are long-form conversations, not clips — seven episodes are out so far.

Do you sell merch?

Yes. The first drop is a heavyweight oversized tee — "Fear Should Never Hold The Pen" (₱499) — and a "No Risk No Story" hoodie (₱999). Preorders run August 1–23, 2026, estimated release August 31, 2026. Pay with any QRPH app (GCash, Maya or your bank), with nationwide shipping in the Philippines or free pickup in Parañaque. Preorder here.

What if the preorder is delayed, or I change my mind?

Cancel any time before your order ships and we refund you in full — no questions asked, no reason needed. Estimated release is August 31, 2026; if your order hasn't shipped by September 15, 2026 you can claim a full refund even if production is still going. If the drop is cancelled or your size can't be produced, we refund you automatically rather than pushing store credit on you. Refunds go back to the same GCash, Maya or bank account you paid from, within seven business days of approval. Read the full policy ↗

Can I return or exchange an item?

Yes, within limits set by the Consumer Act of the Philippines (R.A. 7394). For online orders, report a defective item or a wrong size or style within two (2) business days of delivery, with your order number and a clear, continuous unboxing video showing the pouch seal being broken. Items must be unworn, unwashed, unaltered and have their original tags and packaging. If the fault is ours we cover the return and replacement shipping in full. In-store purchases are final except for hidden manufacturing defects, since you can inspect and try garments on in the shop. Approved requests are resolved by replacement or exchange, store credit, or a refund to your original payment method. Read the full policy ↗
